1. REFRIGERATION TEAM LEADER – CHISAMBA HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required skills for the role Include:
• Supervising and coordinating daily activities of employees in utilities and refrigeration including establishes work schedules that support production activities that provide for timely repair and maintenance of facility buildings, grounds and equipment to established safety and health standards
• Managing inventory of refrigeration being critical spares and consumables.
• Overseeing the installation of new equipment as well as replacement and repair of spare parts according to supplier and company specifications and established safety guidelines.
• Monitoring the performance of repairs and maintenance conducted as well as systems in the refrigeration plant division (ammonia & freon), Blast Freezers, Freezer Rooms & Display Freezers.
• Working with senior management on plant improvements, designs and development of the refrigeration systems.
• Overseeing all maintenance utilities.
• Ensuring all regulations regarding oils, gas and ammonia are met.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance as required and set standards.
• Actively managing the maintenance teams responsible for refrigeration systems, including ammonia compressors.
• Leading the maintenance team to become world-class in technical expertise, installations, repairs, and maintenance of refrigeration equipment.
The Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma in Refrigeration
• 5 years’ experience post qualification experience in Refrigeration and Management.
• Proven experience in maintenance management of large-scale refrigeration plants (freon and ammonia)
• Member of EIZ
• Computer literate levels and good inter-personal skills
2. CODED WELDER – CHISAMBA HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required Skills for this role Include:
• Reading and interpreting blueprints with detailed drawings and dimension styles.
• Preparing weld surfaces as required.
• Setting up, positions and operates hand and power tools such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Determining welder settings required on project.
• Verifying final weld penetration and aesthetics.
• Welding prep and fit-up of steel parts.
• Welding according to all appropriate codes and procedures.
• Monitoring quality of weld using appropriate tools and measuring devices.
• Checking welding process to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
• Performing grinding, gouging, chipping operating a grinder, cutting torch, etc.
• Operating forklift, as needed, according to safe operating procedures.
• Performing all functions safely and follows all safety standards and procedures
The Required Qualifications and Experience include:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Code Welder Crafts Certificate
• At least 3 years’ experience in similar position
• Must be a member of EIZ.
3. AMMONIA TECHNICAIN – CHISAMABA HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required skills for this role Include:
• Troubleshooting refrigeration systems for clients with different needs/replace faulty refrigeration parts of both electrical and refrigeration nature.
• Installing new (ammonia)refrigeration systems, as well as cold rooms /freezer rooms, drop temperature systems, air conditioners and other types of refrigeration equipment
• Preparing documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paper work, required materials, specifications etc.) for the purpose of providing written support for the purpose of compliance with regulations/or conveying information
• Answering any questions that management and end users may have about their refrigeration systems
• Observing and test newly-installed refrigeration systems to ensure they work properly
• Cleaning the evaporator and condenser fans, check refrigerant and oil levels, check oil quality, keep record of the systems performance at Huntley farm.
• Performing routine preventive maintenance as needed and assigned for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of the refrigeration systems.
The Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Crafts Certificate in Ammonia Refrigeration
• 3 years’ experience post qualification experience in Ammonia Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Must be a member of EIZ
4. ELECTRICIAN – CHISAMBA HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required skills for this role Include:
• Assembling, testing, installing, and maintaining appliances, equipment, and fixture
• Determining the causes of system and equipment failures
• Advising the management team of critical electrical systems that could be hazardous
• Using measurement tools test the continuity of circuits
• Drafting blueprints that display the position and orientation of critical system components, wiring, and circuitry
• Connecting power cables and equipment
• Installing ground leads
• Testing equipment and electric systems
• Performing manually taxing tasks, including digging ditches, lifting heavy equipment, and maintaining strenuous positions
The Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Minimum of a crafts certificate in power electrical
• At least 3 years’ experience in power electrical
• Must be a member of EIZ
5. BOILER OPERATOR – CHISAMBA HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required skills for this role Include:
• Maintaining and housekeeping of boiler equipment and all associated components.
• Regularly testing boiler water and making necessary adjustments to chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits.
• Keeping detailed records of inspections, maintenance routines, and repairs.
• Ensuring compliance with state and local safety regulations and guidelines.
• Training and overseeing subordinates in proper operation, safety protocols, and maintenance work.
• Managing the fuel inventory and other consumables necessary for boiler operation
The Required Qualifications and Experience include:
• Grade 12 certificate
• At least 3 years’ experience in similar position
6. WATER TECHNICIAN – CHISAMBA HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required skills for this role Include:
• Testing your water and choose a system that removes the harmful chemicals or germs you are concerned about.
• He should be able to carry out the water softening process – (Removal of Calcium)
• Maintaining and repairing the water softening machine
• Understanding the working principle of the softening machine as well as operate it
• Responsible for the assessment of the levels of calcium in the water
• Assessing the level of total dissolved solids (TDS) in the boiler parts
• Assessing and maintaining the RO – Reverse osmosis machine – (water purification machine)
The Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 certificate
• Water Treatment Craft Certificate
• 5 years’ post qualification experience in Water Treatment.
• Must be a member of EIZ
