We are inviting applications to fill the following vacant position:
Position: Buyer (Engineering Spares and Consumables)
Contract: Permanent .

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
• Developing specifications for materials and services
• Preparation of requests for quotations and invitations to tender
• Identifying of suitable supplier and conducting supplier appraisal
• Placement and expediting of purchase orders
• Liaising with courier companies, clearing agents and customs officials
• Monitoring of supplier performance

This job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:
• Diploma in Business Administration/Purchasing and Supply Management
• A certificate in Engineering will be an added advantage
• 1-2 years’ experience in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management in a FMCG environment
• Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
• Inventory management knowledge
• Analytical and good with numbers
• Established negotiations skills
• Ability to work with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Job Education Requirements: Diploma in Business Administration

Job Experience Requirements: 1-2 years’
