Job description:
Overall Job Purpose
• As a TSF & Dams team member and reporting to the Senior Specialist, TSF.
• Senior professional with experience in creating volume calculations, plans, sections, schematics, elevation drawings for dam construction, etc.
Specific Job Responsibility
• Develop and maintain 3D models of our TSF and large Water Dams
• Produce drawings spanning concept, detailed, IFC and As-Builts
• Produce and maintain tailings deposition and decant management plans
• Monitor and report on TSF freeboard, beach length and Rate of Rise
• Work with engineers and survey to obtain inputs for models and drawings
• Ensure accuracy in design and clarity over confirmed versus assumed data
• File input data, models and drawings in a logical and structured manner
• Work with engineers to develop project solutions and TSF storage plans
• Collaborate with team members to help prepare reports and documentation
• Provide organisation and control of the construction documentation during the execution of the works.
• Organize and Archive Documents. This may involve scanning, copying, physically or electronically filing, and organising documents.
• Planned, controlled and directed the document control functions for the TSF construction study.
• Organize and review project deliverables with the engineering team and monitor quality to ensure all documents conform to established standards and procedures.
• Created and implemented processes within the TSF project construction.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Specialist, TSF
Job Specific Competencies

• Excellent working knowledge of civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil3D)

• Professional certifications in tailings management and mining engineering are desirable.

Experience required to perform in this job
• Minimum of two years of experience in companies with earth-moving work daily, such as mines, quarries, or road construction.
• General Civil/Geotechnical knowledge
Qualifications
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting diploma from a recognised technical institute or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent working knowledge of civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil3D)
• Eligibility to hold legal appointment as defined by the Mining Regulations of Zambia.
• Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 passes
• All results must be certified by ZAQA
