JOB PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this role is to support the preparation and maintenance of financial records of Benefits Consulting Services Limited and the schemes under its administration, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely, professional financial reporting. The role also involves working with internal and external auditors to ensure the timely completion of audits for all assigned schemes
REPORTING TO; Head-Finance
MAIN DUTIES:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Managements Accounts, Board Packs and PIA returns, including all the support schedules by ensuring accurate transactions posting into the Management Information System (MIS).
- Manage Internal, External and PIA audits for all schemes under custody, ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor and manage the liquidity positions of all schemes under custody to ensure adequate funding for all payments.
- Supervise Assistant Accountants, ensuring reporting timelines are met and team motivation is sustained. Act as Head of Finance when assigned.
- Present Financial results to stakeholders and respond to queries professionally.
- Prepare the annual budget and conduct monthly monitoring, including variance analysis
- Perform Payments reconciliations with Administration
- Perform Monthly Investment reconciliations
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL / TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Grade 12 certificate
- Full international accounting qualification e.g. ACCA/CIMA/ZICA or Accounting Degree
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, preferably within the Pension, Insurance, or financial services sector
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- High levels of personal integrity.
- Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive, with strong presentation skills.
