About the role
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Kansanshi in Zambia. This critical role involves supervising the site maintenance execution teams responsible for servicing mobile fleet and equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery and allocation of vehicles, equipment, and plant to drive sustainable revenue.
The Mobile Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will be based on-site at the Kansanshi mine, a significant copper and gold mine located in Solwezi, North-Western Province of Zambia, approximately 14 kilometres from the town of Solwezi. Kansanshi is one of the largest copper reserves in Zambia.
We are looking for a pragmatic and analytical individual with exceptional organisational skills, inclusive and well-developed leadership abilities, and extensive knowledge of maintenance and engineering methodologies. What you will be doing
- Driving compliance to Maintenance Management plans for all Assets on site;
- Ensuring all assets are within the Asset Life Cycle Management policy;
- Managing Team Rosters & Leave keeping leave within allowable limit;
- Complying with Management of Change and ensuring all repairs comply with purchasing requirements;
- Mentoring the Maintenance Team in the Region;
- Contributing to Capital Project delivery;
- Ensuring all Operational Equipment has been Hazard Studied and actions completed before mobilisation;
- Providing Field Measurement System Support Drives Statutory Licencing of Mobile Fleet.
What you will bring
- Minimum Mechanical Trade certification
- Mechnical engineering diploma or degree will be advantageous
- Minimum 10 years’ experience post qualification;
- 3-5 years mining industry experience
- Experience leading a team, including building a collaborative approach;
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders;
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement;
- Ability to plan, influence & execute;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.
