JOB DETAILS:
Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
Lubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.
LCML places the highest priority on safety with a world-class safety system in place and understands its obligations to carry out mining in a sustainable manner. Its Corporate Social Responsibility programme focuses on education, agriculture, health, and infrastructure.

LCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position:
This position reports to the Security Superintendent.
Core Purpose of the Position:
To provide and deliver efficient and quality security by protecting company property, employees, visitors and contractor employees.
Key Performance Areas/Indicators (KPA/Is):
• Physical means of protecting staff and property and should be very alert for proper guarding against thefts, pilferage, accidents and intruders.
• Conduct preliminary investigations in all criminal cases affecting the company as well as cases of misappropriation of company property.
• Conduct security audits of company materials drawn from stores in order to ensure that they are utilised in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Coordinate all access control activities including monitoring of deliveries without orders and asset tracking.
• Conduct patrols on the mine lease and ensuring that no intruders interfere with the vital installations.
• Sensitise employees and communities encroaching in the mine curved areas and other restricted places.
• Ensuring that copper concentrates are escorted to the smelters in strict adherence to the standard operating procedures.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 Certificate with five O’levels which must include English.
• Certificate in law or any Social Science.
• Zambia Police/Mine Police Training.
• Computer literate.
• Driving licence.
