1. Position Information
Position Title: Systems Director Division: Data & Analytics / ICT
Department: Data & Analytics / ICT Location: Lusaka, Zambia
2. Primary Job Purpose
The Systems Director is responsible for managing and developing the clients Zambia’s systems, ICT infrastructure, and Power BI reporting. As the company’s lead strategist for technology growth and ERP systems, this role works cross-functionally with all departments to understand business requirements, build tailored tools, and provide documentation, training, and support. Additionally, the Systems Director oversees the management of all ICT assets, ensuring that all hardware, software, and data processes align with business needs. A key focus of the role is to champion Power BI reporting, ensuring the delivery of actionable insights through high-quality, real-time data.

Key Result Area Strategy, ERP & Systems Building (45%)
Key Accountabilities and Performance Indicators
· Drive the company-wide data strategy, seamlessly integrating ERP solutions with business processes to enhance reporting and decision-making.
· Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of the company’s ERP system, including process mapping, database architecture, API integration, and data processing/storage solutions.
· Oversee hardware procurement and system rollout, ensuring all project stages meet business requirements.
· Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while providing comprehensive training to ensure successful system adoption and operational efficiency.
· Ensure full stock traceability through a robust barcoding system with well-organized, detailed data management.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the team researches and implements best practices within the ERP.
· Streamline data capture and dissemination across the organization, identifying gaps and developing solutions to meet business needs. Ensure all data processes are fully documented and maintain a single, accurate source of truth for core company data.
· Formalizes as many data sources as possible into datasets.
Key Result Area Report Building & Organisational Support (20%)

Report Building & Maintenance
· Oversee core operational reporting, particularly through Power BI, ensuring high-quality data is readily available across the business.
· Ensure all Power BI reports are maintained, automated, and developed to meet evolving business needs.
· Promote self-service analytics with near real-time data, ensuring all KPI reports are accurate, accessible, and insightful.
· Proactively manage report uptime, resolving any issues or downtime promptly.
· Foster a data-driven culture by making analytics accessible, providing continuous support, and ensuring proper training and documentation are available for all system users.
· Cultivate strong relationships between the team and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment and support across departments.
· Prioritize and address all executive and investor requests efficiently.
· Manage the team providing ad-hoc reporting and support to business stakeholders.
Key Result Area ICT Infrastructure Management (15%)

· Oversee the strategic direction and administration of ICT infrastructure in collaboration with the Head of ICT. Ensuring that the ICT infrastructure is suitable for data operations and real-time reporting.
· Ensure that ICT policies are up to date and adhered to across the organization.
· Ensure all ICT assets (hardware) are documented, managed, and aligned with company policies.
· Ensure security, backups, and compliance of all digital environments.
· Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets and plans, including vendor relationships and recurring payments.
Key Result Area Team Management (20%)
Key Accountabilities and Performance Indicators
· Provide clear KPIs for team members, bi-annual performance reviews, and access to training and development (purchase online courses on their behalf).
· Ensure weekly 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports and regular team meetings to discuss work progress and team-building activities.
· Build tools that optimize team performance and project management.
4. Requirements
• Degree: ICT, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Preferred: Master’s degree
• Experience:
• 5+ years managing a team
• 2+ years in an ICT environment
• 5+ years working with Power BI & Excel
• Proven track record in implementing systems within a business environment

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
