NSANJE Hills Training Institute- a TEVETA-accredited training college based in Chilanga is hereby inviting job applications for the position of ‘College Principal’ and various lecturing positions.
1. COLLEGE PRINCIPAL
1.0 Overall Purpose of the Job
To oversee the operations and overall strategic direction of the Institute
2.0 Duties and Responsibilities
These include:
a) Providing overall leadership to all the functional areas of the Institute.
b) Ensuring prudent financial resources utilisation across the Institute
c) Promoting and communicating Institute Vision, Mission and Values and ensuring adherence
d) Creating an environment for human capital growth within the Institute
e) Liaising with external stakeholders
f) Acting as change agent within the Institute in all areas of skills training and education
3.0 Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
3.1 Knowledge of:
* Business management, quality assurance standards, regulations and procedures.
3.2 Skills
* Strategic thinking
* Strong organisational skills.
* Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
3.3 Abilities
Ability to build strong relationships with both internal & external stakeholders.
4.0 Minimum Education
* University degree in education, business or technical field.
* Diploma in teaching/industrial and commercial education.
5.0 Minimum Relevant Experience
* 5 years’ experience in Technical Training Environment.
* 3 years TEVET sector working experience.
2.0 LECTURERS FOR PLUMBING, CARPENTRY, METAL FABRICATION, TAILORING, FOOD PRODUCTION, GENERAL HOSPITALITY, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING
1.0 Overall Purpose of the Job
To deliver quality training and assessments in a conducive learning environment.
2.0 Duties and Responsibilities
These include:
g) Preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans and records of work
h) Conducting theory and practical lessons
i) Preparation of assessment instruments
j) Maintenance of a conducive class learning environment
3.0 Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
3.1 Knowledge of:
* Teaching methodologies, training regulations and procedures.
3.2 Skills
* Conceptual approach
* Strong organisational skills.
* Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
3.3 Abilities
* Ability to maintain a conducive learning environment
* Lesson delivery
* Presentation
4.0 Minimum Education
* Craft certificate in relevant field
* Diploma/certificate in teaching methodology will be added advantage.
5.0 Minimum Relevant Experience
* 3 years’ experience in training and education environment.
* 2 years’ TEVET sector working experience.
