JOB DETAILS:
Project HOPE is currently seeking an ES & PPP Coordinator to support the USAID/Zambia funded Cooperative Agreement for Service Delivery for Vulnerable Children and Adolescents (SDVCA) in Lusaka, Eastern, and Western Zambia. The project will be implemented in partnership with Center for infectious Disease Research Zambia (CIDRZ) and will accelerate and sustain HIV epidemic control in Zambia through the delivery of high-impact HIV prevention, care and support services to Vulnerable Children and Adolescents (VCA) and their families. Project HOPE is a consortium sub-partner for CIDRZ, the prime implementer of the 5 years USAID funded project.
The ES & PPP Coordinator will lead the development and implementation of strategies aimed at identifying and establishing PPPs that bring diverse stakeholders in the private, public, and civil sectors together to create opportunities for employment, internship , entrepreneurship and linkage with finance and markets to out of school OVC who are SDVCA beneficiaries. The post holder will also be responsible for identifying and coordinating the implementation of economic strengthening activities including Village Saving and Loan (VSL) groups for caregivers and Youth Saving Groups (YSG) for OVC 15 – 18. .

Responsibilities:
• Effectively articulate SDVCA economic strengthening and PPP approaches
• Support the development of workplan and implementation strategy, to reach OVC and their caregivers with ES and PPP interventions.
• Participate in the project implementation plan and strategy design owing emphasis to economic strengthening and PPP activities
• Provide technical assistance including training and mentorship to regional and district level staff to implement ES and PPP interventions
• Support the process of developing operational manuals and implementation guidelines and other strategic documents pertinent to economic strengthening and PPP activities under the SDVCA project
• Identify economic strengthening opportunities for vulnerable adolescent girls and their caregivers. This include creating opportunities for employment, internship, entrepreneurship and linkage with finance and markets for OVC and engagement in Village Saving and Loan (VSL) groups for caregivers and Youth Saving Groups (YSG) for OVC 15 – 18.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of CQI activities on ES and PPP activities
• Facilitate stakeholder’s engagement on ES and PPP
• Contribute to operational research, innovation and learning agendas related to ES and PPP
• Support the analysis, interpretation, and use of data to inform decision-making and programmatic adjustments on ES and PPP.
• Represent the Project HOPE Zambia SDVCA, as directed, in any working group, committee, or task force addressing ES and PPP.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual reports as required, detailing the performance of the ES intervention, including reports and others as directed
• Support procurement of required ES and PPP goods and services as appropriate.
• Support M & E team on ES related proper data collection, data entry, data analysis and presentation using the SDVCA data bases
• Perform any other ES and PPP duties as required

Minimum Requirements:
• A relevant degree in economics and business or other relevant field
• A master’s degree will be an added advantage
• Ability to build and maintain public private partnerships
• Experience working with OVC
• Self-starter with ability to think outside of the box;
• At least 3 years of experience in Economic Strengthening activities
• Experience in mentoring and supervision
• Experience working with NGO, CSO’s and donor agencies having a program component on economic strengthening
• Experience working with PEPFAR and U.S. Government operations, rules, regulations, procedures, policies, and programs (preferred)
• Facilitation skills using participatory methodologies
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and able to learn other applications quickly
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and at least one of the local language preferred.
