Job Description

This position will report to the Fleet Manager. .

  Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate human resources, schedules and activities for effective management of fleet
• Provide oversight and check job estimates
• Regularly report progress on truck availability and quick communicate delays and/or concerns to distribution planners
• Ensure forklift availability, service not overdue
• Ensure licenses not overdue
• Toolbox talks with team members
• Daily analysis on fleet performance
• Working with Proxy to ensure licenses and road taxes paid on time and ensure fitness of trucks
• Agile, responsive and able to work under pressure

  Job Qualifications:
• Grade 12, O level with 6 credits or better
• Diploma in an engineering trade qualification preferably Diesel Technician/Mechanics
• 3 years’ work experience in a busy FMCG workshop
• Valid drivers’ license Code CE
• Supervisory experience, computer literate, hands on mechanical experience and knowledge
• Good communication skill both verbal and written
• Able to handle conflict and resolve differences of opinion
• Open minded to new ways of thinking
• Self-starter

  Job Education Requirements:
