Key Responsibilities
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
• Maintain records by recording service and repairs on equipment.
• Keeps all mining equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by using and understanding workshop manuals.
• Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor.

• Must be discreet and flexible.
• Must be responsible, focused and self – motivated.
• Ability to interact with people and work cohesively with them.
• Must physically capable of using and moving equipment and tools.
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision.

Qualifications
• Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair.
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Class C Driver’s License, with minimum 2 years Driving Experience.
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia
• Possession of a valid silicosis certificate.

Experience & skill:
• Experience on Komatsu fleet. Dozers ,Graders ,Wheel Dozers and front loaders
• Experience Volvo Fleet.
• Experience on Bell Compactors.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic systems and know how to read diagrams.
• Basic knowledge on Electrical fault finding.
• A minimum of 3 years work experience on Hydraulics and Earth moving equipment.
