  Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the effective implementation of the project through the technical, efficient and timely execution of tasks in accordance with the policies, values and procedures of the ILO, the strategies of the project and the schedule of activities.
• Undertake a range of activities to support project staff and national partners with identifying, analysing, interpreting and making recommendations on project activities, in coordination with CO-Lusaka and relevant technical units at ILO-HQ including but not limited to the Gender, Equality and Diversity (GED) branch within WORKQUALITY and the Social Protection Department (SOCPRO).
• Review, verify and analyze work plans, progress and final reports and other data for clarity, consistency and completeness and monitor the progress of Project activities. Follow-up on delayed documents, clarify information, and answer questions about clearance and processing requirements to support successful completion of agreed activities
• Undertake research and prepare technical inputs for regional and country analyses, reports and publications related to the project
• Assist in organising and providing training materials and logistical support for seminars and workshops, including the delivery of ILO Disability Equality Trainings (DET).
• Research and consolidate information to support efforts for mobilization of human, technical or financial resources.
• Participate in missions with other social protection team members


Job Skills:
• Knowledge of programme and budget, project administration and evaluation concepts and procedures and of the mandate and structure of labour market institutions in Zambia
• Knowledge of the office’s financial rules and regulations
• Good knowledge of the context and challenges for the project areas of expertise
• Strong analytical skills and ability to justify requirements and approaches to problem resolution and good drafting skills
• Good ability to interpret project information and to identify and analyze problems with implementation
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to clarify information
• Demonstrate collaborative and team work experience and ability to work effectively with a multicultural and interdisciplinary team as well as work on his/her own initiative
• Ability to work independently, quickly, precisely, and take initiative and responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet the deadline
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, web-browsers and database applications
• Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.

Job Education Requirements:
• First level university degree in Social Sciences, a discipline related to Development, Disability, and Social Protection or similar with demonstrated expertise in the relevant technical field and strong knowledge on development issues particularly in Zambia is required. An advanced university degree would be an advantage.


Job Experience Requirements:
• At least two years of professional experience in the field of social protection and disability inclusion.
• Familiarity with ILO policies and procedures including experience working with officials of ministries of labour and/or community development would be an advantage.
