Job purpose
Production Intern shall report directly to Supply Chain Manager. The Production Intern will be responsible for basic administration and coordination activities within the Procurement & Supply department. Opportunities for advancement to Assistant pending demonstration of good performance. .

Key responsibilities
1. Requesting quotes and doing comparisons
2. Preparation of purchase orders in ERP
3. Records Maintenance
4. Leverage 260 Brands’ inventory management system to identify trends and purchase requirements for depleting stock
5. Daily recording and monitoring commodity purchases
6. Coordination with suppliers on delivery of raw materials
7. Monitoring Supplier Performance against company standards and statutory requirements
8. Coordination with internal departments (stores, quality assurance and grain storage) for the delivery of raw materials
9. Coordination with custom clearance for incoming
10. Co-ordinate the Van and Tricycle Riders assigned to each Area Sales Rep
11. Responsible for mapping of the assigned routes

Key Qualifications & Requirements
1) Enrolled for (in final year) or recently completed (within first year of graduation) a University degree or diploma in business administration, procurement and supply chain management and or any relevant field;
2) Knowledge of procurement would be a plus;
3) Previous experience of working on procurement would be a plus but not required ;
4) Ability to work independently with minimum supervision;
5) Strong skills in MS Excel and knowledge of other computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook
6) Punctuality
7) Intellectual curiosity
8) Willingness to take initiative
9) Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
