JOB DETAILS:
The incumbent will provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team ensuring adherence and alignment with national and international standards for nutrition related to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health. .
Main duties
• Leads a team to achieve project outcomes and provides key technical direction for the nutritional aspects of the project. Develops and oversee activities in accordance to yearly work-plan.
• Oversees the development of high-quality technical deliverables, ensuring they meet all USAID requirements.
• Guides the learning agenda for the project, uses lessons learned to modify project approaches and strategies and disseminate findings.
• Collaborates with the COP/DCOP to ensure staff produce timely, high-quality, evidence-based products that meet/exceed USAID requirements.
• Supervises and mentors project staff as required in technical areas to improve project implementation.
• Ensures that lessons learnt and best practices are documented and shared and works with the monitoring and learning component of the project to incorporate lessons learnt to enhance project results.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in technical area of expertise or related field; qualifications in nutrition preferred
• Seven years of experience in nutrition related to reproductive health service delivery of mothers and children
• Familiarity with Zambia health systems required
• Experience with USAID’s reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition services framework and reporting system
• Experience with donor-funded development projects of a similar scale and scope, USAID preferred
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
