Technical On-site Sales and Support Representative-ROTARY BLAST HOLE DRILL RIGS-AFRICA
Job Description
The Company wishes to extend its business within the Africa region, and we are seeking a qualified technical sales representative and technician to help us sell and service rotary drill rigs and allied products. You as the technical sales representative will need a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. You will also need an understanding of rotary drill rigs and related rotary products
You will be under consideration for a salary and commission-based pay structure and would entertain speaking to existing businesses which we could work along with in certain markets.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows, it is essential that our sales rep be personable and professional.
It is also essential that the applicant can generate proven contacts and relationships at site level within the open cast mining industry in Africa.

Objectives of this Role
• Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
• Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
• Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
• Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field .
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
• Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
• Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct trials
• Develop a sales plan for designated territory
• Acting as a key contact and liases with appropriate personnel to communicate.
• Prepare professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations
• Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following an defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product trials and presentations
• Performing market research and regular competitor monitoring
• Acting as a key contact for account and liases with appropriate personal to communicate
• Continually provide drilling solutions and product technical support

Skills and Qualifications
• 3-5 years in sales within a Rotary drill rig setting in the African region.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with sales management software and Office 365 (Excel and Power Point)
• Personal integrity
• Ability to travel to customer mine sites and events
• Pass required mine site fitness assessments
Preferred Qualifications (Must Have)
• Experience and relationships within open cast drill and blast operations throughout Africa.
• Proven success rate at levels above quotas
• Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
• Strong organizational skills
