JOB DETAILS:
Overall Job Purpose:
Report to the Instrumentation Technician This position exists to ensure the availability and efficient operation of all process plant field instrumentation to minimize production down-time. And is also responsible to assist the technician in daily duties.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
• Assist in installing, setup, calibrate, maintain, fault finding and maintain a wide variety of field Instrumentation devices and equipment, related to modern automated processing plants.
• Assist in setup, calibrate, certify, maintain and troubleshoot PA (Process Automation) devices density and conveyor belt scale systems.
• Assist in setup, calibrate, certify, maintain and troubleshoot weighbridge systems.
• Assist in any other tasks as may be delegated upon by the supervisor.

Job Specific Competencies:
• Able to identify instrumentation spares and fittings.
• Able to identify the most commonly used hand tools as well as being able to use them for the specific tasks.

Experience required to perform in this job:
• 1-year post qualifying experience in Automated Industrial Processing Plants.
• Working experience on Crushers, Conveyors, Milling, Floatation Circuits, Reagent and Concentrate areas, Thickeners as well as Water and Air Services will be an added advantage.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Instrumentation.
• A valid Driver’s License for light vehicles will be advantage.
