Natural Sausage Casings
The Freddy Hirsch Group has become renowned, both in South Africa and internationally, for its top quality Freddy Hirsch brand hog and sheep sausage casings. The Hog casings and Sheep casings plant is based at Head Office. The Sheep casings plant is certified Halaal and under the strict supervision of the Muslim Judicial Council of Cape Town.

Collagen and Cellulose Casings
We’re proud to stock the largest range of artificial casing products that cover all application needs. Cellulose and Collagen Casings are supplied by world leaders Devro and Visko Teepak respectively. The products are fully backed by our technical support and quality assurance systems to ensure our customers’ peace of mind.

Freddy Hirsch supplies and services a comprehensive range of butchers’ equipment: Meat mincers, blenders, meat tenderiser machines, meat slicer machines, meat sausage fillers, biltong equipment, and vacuum packers. We partner with leading manufacturers to ensure that we supply our market with the very best equipment available. Each piece of equipment undergoes rigorous testing conducted by our technical team.

Bandsaw Blades
We’ve been Africa’s sole distributor of the Munkforssågar bandsaw and carcass blades range for over 20 years. The blades are known for their fast, clean, and accurate cuts, guaranteeing a quality end-product with higher yields.

Butcher Knives
Our range of butchers knives and sharpening tools includes the F Dick Butchers knives range, of which we’re South Africa’s sole supplier. The F Dick Butchers knives are made exclusively from high-alloy stainless steel. For a more economical range, we offer a selection of knives under the Freddy Hirsch brand.

Labels and Packaging
We offer our customers branded product labels, vacuum bags, carrier bags, patty discs, and tray liners, enabling the efficient organisation and distribution of products.
