our ethos
We’re a home décor company based on the edge of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
Tribal Textiles works to create sustainable impact through creativity and craftsmanship by going beyond fair wages, reinvesting in community strengthening initiatives, and supporting local wildlife conservation.
Our story begins with a big acacia tree in 1991...
SOCIAL IMPACT
Over the years Tribal Textiles has made a conscious effort to give back to the community which surrounds us. We reinvest 5% of each purchase in local community and conservation initiatives.
Below is information about local crafts and recycling projects we are supporting, a school we have co-founded and a charity set up in memory of one of our Tribal Textiles employees.
SUSTAINABILITY
At Tribal Textiles, we use traditional techniques to create beautiful home décor for inspired interiors.
Our commitment to sustainability influences all aspects of our business. We are dedicated to sustainably producing each item, without compromising on quality, production method, or materials.
our Home and Process
For visitors to South Luangwa, a stop at Tribal Textiles is an event in their safari calendar. It enables you to step back from watching the wild animals of the Luangwa and catch an insight into the community spirit of Mfuwe and discover our unique artistic process.
You can do a bit of shopping, sit down and relax in our leafy Courtyard Cafe or practice your creative skills by performing an Art Safari and painting your own cushion to take home.
