Claims Officers (2)
Reporting to the Claims Manager, the position holder will be responsible for the Material and Bodily Injuries Claims functions of MUA Insurance Rwanda Limited. The position will ensure efficient execution and implementation of Claims management
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this position include but not limited to the following;
• Claims analysis for corporate,
• Prepare LPO/Discharge voucher for Corporate and individual claims,
• Create initial claim reserves, update claim reserves and keep claimant files with required documents,
• Investigate claims by visiting accident scenes;
• To check if a bodily injury claim received has all required documents and request for missing documents,
• Assess a bodily injury claim by prepare and submitting to the claimant a claim proposal,
• Any other tasks as requested by your supervisor
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
• A degree holder in Insurance, Law or both
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
• Detail-oriented professional with strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and inter-cultural communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
• Takes initiative and does not require constant supervision or instructions to get the job done
Personal Attributes:
• Ensure daily activities are done, reported,
• Ensure remaining and new activities are planned and daily reported,
• Produce periodic and required report.
• Ensure claimants got clear and enough explanations on main clauses with a direct impact on his claim settlement,
• Ability to detect and prevent errors all the time.
• Ability to keep confidentiality of company information
• Ensure innovation and creativity in your job
• A person of high integrity, proactive, assertive, result oriented and a team player
Minimum requirements:
• A degree holder in Insurance, Law or related field
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented professional with strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and inter-cultural communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
• Takes initiative and does not require constant supervision or instructions to get the job done
• Excellent skills in drafting/correspondences in English / Kinyarwanda.
