Responsibilities
Job specifications/responsibilities will include the following:
• Plan deliveries: Sort invoices into areas to ensure delivery routes are as economical as possible; use a map book if necessary
• Assist in loading deliveries onto the vehicle
• Prepare delivery logs
• Assist in packing orders for delivery to customers
• Obtain signatures for the goods received, delivered or returned.
• Assist in order pulling and packing, where possible.
• Assist in loading the delivery onto the vehicle
• Assist in loading the vehicle
• Check returns against paperwork.
• Collect and check payment from customers, lock the money securely away
• Assist in ensuring goods are signed for by customers
• Offload goods where the customer desires.
• Handle stock carefully
• Ensure loads are correctly balanced in the vehicle
• Adhere to all safety regulations with regards to loading and offloading of goods.
• Ensure a neat and tidy work space at all times, including company vehicle.
• Follow all ad hoc requests from your supervisor including but not limited to picking up litter, cleaning the floor, clean counters etc.

Requirements:
• 3-5 years related experience as Driver/Mobility General Assistant in similar Role/Capacity (Retail).
• Valid Driver’s Licence – Class C or higher.
• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Possess basic knowledge on vehicle mechanics.
