JOB DETAILS:
SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Flight Operations Assistant (FOA) provides a key role in the function of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) in providing a safe, on-time schedule for Proflight Zambia. To work as part of the team maintaining effective flight operations oversight and support functions to flights, with particular attention to safety, security, standardization, and efficiency. The control and responsibility of the Flight functions as outlined in the ZCARS.

KNOWLEDGE (A THEORETICAL UNDERSTANDING OF)
• Aviation Flight management general requirements (Local and international). Aviation Flight regulatory requirements (local and international).
• Aviation Safety Quality and Security processes (local and international).
• Flight safety management risk analysis assessment techniques.
• Aviation commercial and finance systems and controls.
• Emergency response planning regulations and requirements.

SKILLS (BEING ABLE TO)
• Undertake the duties as per the Proflight Flight Dispatch Manual with respect to decision making and operational requirements
• Maintain Flight Dispatch standard operations procedures (SOP’s)
• Ensure on-going active Safety Quality and Security within company Flight operations to ensure business continuity across the company
• Working as part of the team to maintain the scheduled operations with minimum delays

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 Full Certificate.
• Previous experience operating in Flight Dispatch/OCC environment preferred.
• Aviation experience will be an advantage but full training will be provided to the correct applicant.
• Zambian Citizen or resident will be an added advantage.
• Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
