JOB DETAILS:

JOB PURPOSE
To undertake the inspection of training institutions, nursing homes and agencies of health in order to ensure compliance to the set standards
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILTY (MAIN DUTIES)
a) Undertakes effectively the inspection of nursing and midwifery health facilities in order to ensure compliance to set standards and regulations;
b) Undertakes effectively preparation of inspection reports in order to facilitate informed decision making;
c) Undertakes effectively the maintenance of records on inspections in order to facilitate the storage and retrieval of information; and
d) Undertakes effectively the development of work plans and implementation of the Annual Performance Appraisal System (APAS) in order to monitor and evaluate performance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Primary/Secondary Education:
• Full Form V or Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum Vocational/Professional Qualifications: Degree in Nursing/Midwifery or equivalent
• Registered and licensed with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia
• Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience: 4 years in classroom and clinical practice
Communication Skills:
Written Skills
Able to write technical and analytical reports
Oral Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English
Other skills/Attributes:
Computer Literate;
Negotiation Skills; Integrity; and Interpersonal Skills.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 48
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
