JOB DETAILS:

Cavendish University Zambia has the following Full Time lecturing job opportunity. Lecturers are responsible for teaching and learning, research and service to the university and society. At Cavendish University, lecturers are required to accomplish their duties in teaching and learning in a manner that demonstrates continuous improvement and global best practices in pedagogy and digital skills and tools. All lecturers are encouraged to engage in research activities, attend conferences and publish their research findings in journals and books as appropriate. In the sphere of service, lecturers are expected to carry out administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department or the Dean’s office, and also to contribute to the University’s annual community service initiatives and goals.

Qualifications
1. Must have MB ChB or BDS from a registered/accredited University.
2. Master of Medicine (MMed) or Fellowship in Surgery Degree from a registered/accredited University.
3. Teaching/research experience of not less than 1 years in a reputable institution.
4. Competent in English communication both spoken and written.
5. Computer literate, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
6. Teaching Methodology will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities
Academic
1. Conducting lectures and tutorials
2. workplan schedules
3. bed side teaching

Clinical
1. ward rounds
2. outpatient/specialist clinics
3. all activities as assigned by HoD Internal medicine- Livingstone Central Hospital

Administrative duties-
1. preparation and organization of exams
2. management of learning logistics
