About Us
The Zambian Association of Emerging Enterprises is a service-oriented organization established with a vision of creating a first class integrated business services for Small and Medium Enterprises in Zambia.
Our goal is to support Small and Medium Enterprises and those emerging with consultancy services. These services range from helping; SMEs to form cooperatives, access grants, technical support, formalizing business operations, human resource support, acting as the bridge between SMEs and the government and stakeholders that support the agenda. Turning ideas into working business ventures and collaborating with angel investors, venture capitalists and government to help entrepreneurs scale up their business.
We are looking for volunteers with suitable qualifications to fill up the position of communications officers. Volunteers will be compensated with a stipend.
The Communication Offices develop and distribute information to promote the organisation.

The duties and responsibilities typically include the following:
• Maintain a database of media organisations and contacts within them.
• Manage the organisations’ social media and external communications.
• Regularly meet with and conduct interviews with media personnel.
• Create and produce internal newsletters for the organization.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with journalists in multiple types of media outlets.
• Act as a spokesperson for the organization.
• Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including material for a website, press releases and other types of content that take the message to the public.
• Prepare and manage the organization’s communication budget.

Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or any related field with an ability to engage on various platforms to communicate
• Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
• Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
• Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
• Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
