What is the position about?
Responsible for assisting with the effective implementation of JTI Leaf Zambia Limited’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) agenda, with a focus on managing the Supply Chain Due Diligence (SCDD) process. Using the SCDD framework as a guide, assist with the identifying and prioritizing of risks, developing response measures, measuring effectiveness, reporting outcomes and communicating to stakeholders appropriately. The positions will be based in Chipata (1), Nkeyema/Kaoma (2) and Central Province (1).

What will you be doing?

• Implementation of ESG management framework
• Serve as the primary ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) liaison on site, facilitating the effective implementation of all ESG and sustainability response measures. This includes supporting the identification of risks, coordinating the review and verification of the prioritization process as well as the implementation and reporting on response measures.
• Data quality, verification and Reporting
• Ensure that all ESG data is kept accurate and up to date at all times.
• Track implementation of each response measure and verifying actual outcomes against targets.
• Assist with compiling of information for all ESG reporting requirements.
Avail constructive and ‘value adding’ feedback to ‘front line’ monitors or implementors.
• ESG Governance framework
• Assist with data collection on all SCDD (Supply Chain Due Diligence) response measures for the purpose of analyzing, prioritizing and reporting.
• Assist the ESG Managers with the management of the SCDD process.
• Assist with all reporting for SCDD.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the local contact person for all engagements with external stakeholders representing the organization’s interests and values.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between stakeholder engagement activities and organizational goals.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in humanities or any social science
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in developmental work.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI other relevant software applications.
