Type: Short Term Field assistance
Period of Performance: Between On/around February 17th 2022 to March 17th 2022
Main Purpose of the Job
The purpose of this position is to conduct field data collection using a mobile data application in Chipata, City Market, Soweto Market and Ng’ombe Market in Lusaka Province.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in a structured training on field data collection methods and tools that includes a pilot activity;
• Required to undergo technical training on the basics of service delivery, identification of study areas, ethics and informed consent, field logistics;
• Collect field data from the selected respondents and enter the collected data into a software using a phone;
• Perform other duties as advised.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
• A minimum grade 12 certificate with credit or better in English; A tertiary qualification will be an added advantage;
• Ability to interview (read and speak) in English and the local language in the province in which the interviewer prefers to work;
• Some experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection, and data management will be an added advantage;
• Familiarity with the use of a smart phone;
• Ability to follow written instructions and read maps, Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision, Candidate should have good Interpersonal skills;
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality throughout the survey period;
• Must adhere to ALL data collection Standard Operating Procedures as advised;
• Ability to safeguard and maintain assigned equipment and other logistics entrusted to you;
• Show a high level of professionalism and adherence to instructions towards all respondents, teammates and team Lead;
• Exhibit professional behavior in dealing with the public;
• Be innovative and proactive in training and field work;
• Willing to walk some distance between target areas.
