JOB DETAILS:
Lukanga Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited (LgWSC) is a private Company established under the Companies’ Act No 10 of 2017. It was incorporated on 21st March 2006 as a Commercial Water Utility (CU) Limited by shares wholly owned by the Local Authorities in Central Province. The CU was established as part of the GRZ water sub-sector reforms to improve delivery of water supply and sanitation services in the Province. In order to fulfill this mandate, the Company has placed emphasis on delivering an excellent service to both its external and internal customers. The Company seeks individuals who are ready to join the crusade towards effective and efficient delivery of services to our esteemed customers in the most professional way. Applications are therefore, invited from suitably qualified persons with performance based backgrounds to staff the following vacancies;

1. Legal Assistant (Grade L5; Required No: 1)
Job Purpose
To assist the Company in the provision of legal services by developing case information, evidence, and settlement options; tracking cases; supporting and participating in trial proceedings and keeping all legal records properly.
Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum professional qualifications.
• Diploma in Law or any related field
• Relevant work experience.
• One year experience in an established organisation.
Required competencies and personal attributes:
• Must be of Reporting Skills, Research Skills, Legal Administration Skills, Litigation, Client Relationships, Organization, Planning, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Dependability, Client Confidentiality

2. MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT (Grade L5; Required No: 1)
Requirements
• Grade 12 Full School Certificate.
• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or any related
• 2 years work experience in a similar position in a reputable organization.
• Fresh graduates may be considered as Management Trainees.
• Must be in possession of a valid practicing license of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ ERB).
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• A valid driver’s license is a must.

3. Driver (Grade L8; Required No. 2)
Requirements
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Auto Mechanics from a reputable institution
• At least 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Must have a traceable ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to operate earth moving equipment will be an added advantage.
• Must be physically fit as the job involves extended periods of physical efforts.
• A valid driver’s license class C is a must.

4. Mechanical FITTER (Grade L7; Required No: 1)
Requirements
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in mechanical fitting or equivalent from a reputable Institution.
• At least 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.
• Must have a traceable ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be physically fit as the job involves extended periods of physical efforts.
• A valid driver’s license is a must.

5. AUTO ELECTRICIAN (Grade L7; Required No: 1)
Requirements
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Electrical Auto Mechanics or equivalent from a reputable Institution.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Must have a traceable ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be physically fit as the job involves extended periods of physical efforts.
• A valid driver’s license is a must.

6. CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT (grade L7; Required 6)
Requirement
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Sheet Metal from a reputable Institution
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.
• Able to make simple calculations accurately and communicate with superiors and customers
• 1 year work experience
• Courtesy as deals with a number of customers

7. ARTISAN PLUMBERS (Grade L7; Required No: 12)
Requirements
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Sheet Metal from a reputable Institution.
• At least 2 years experience in similar position.
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.
• Must have a traceable ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Must be physically fit as the job involves extended periods of physical efforts.

8. PLANT OPERATORS (Grade L7; Required No: 12)
Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Water and Sewerage Operations, Electrical or Mechanical from a reputable institution.
• Fresh graduates may also be considered as Management Trainees.
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.
• 2 years work experience.
• In depth practical knowledge of Water and Sewerage plant operations.

9. PLANT ATTENDANTS (Grade L8; Required No: 6)
Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Trade Test in plumbing, fitting, water operations or equivalent.
• 1 year work experience.
• Traceable experience in the water sector will be an added advantage.

10. Boiler Maker (Grade L7; Required No:2)
Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate in Metal fabrication
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.
• At least 2 years experience

11. SANITARY ATTENDANTS (Grade L8; Required No: 8)
Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Trade Test in plumbing, fitting, water operations or equivalent.
• 1 year work experience.
• Freshly tested graduates will also be considered.
• Traceable experience in the water sector will be an added advantage.

12. General Worker (Grade L9; Required No: 3)
Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• 1 year work experience.
Traceable experience in the water sector will be an added advantage.
