Our Client a supplier of agricultural solutions, specializing in innovative products and services that help farmers optimize their yields. We are dedicated to sustainable farming practices and delivering top-notch customer service. As they expand their operations, therefore they are seeking aggressive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable Field Sales Agronomist to join their team.

LOCATIONS
LUSAKA PROVINCE (Lusaka, Chongwe & Mumbwa, Shubuyunji, Rufunsa, & Chisamba)
SOUTHERN PROVINCE (Kafue, Chikankata, Mazabuka, Siavonga, Monze, Namwala, Choma & Kalomo)
EASTERN PROVINCE (Rufunsa, Luangwa, Nyimba, Petauke, Sinda, Katete, Chipata, Chadiza, Lundazi, Chama)
CENTRAL PROVINCE (Kabwe, Mpongwe, Kapiri, Mkushi & Serenje)
COPPERBELT PROVINCE (Luanshya, Ndola, Kitwe, Chingola, Chililabombwe, Kalulushi, Lufwanyama)

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, and distributors to understand their needs and provide tailored advice.
• Promote and sell a range of fertilizers to meet customers’ farming objectives.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess soil health, crop conditions, and farming practices, and recommend customized solutions to enhance productivity and sustainability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in agronomy, including new product offerings, research, and market trends, to provide relevant advice and maintain a competitive edge.
• Achieve sales targets through effective communication, customer service, and technical support.
• Deliver product demonstrations and training sessions for clients, ensuring they understand the proper use and benefits of the product.
• Participate in agricultural trade shows, field days, and other industry events to network and promote company products.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports, market analysis, stock reports, and feedback to management for continuous improvement of sales strategies.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Must have at least a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in agronomy or agricultural sales
• Must have a strong understanding of crop production, soil science, pest management, and sustainable agriculture practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet sales targets.
• Willingness to travel frequently to visit clients in rural and agricultural areas.
• Must be able to ride a motorbike with a valid license.
