JOB DETAILS:
Surya Group of Companies is a group of companies incorporated in Zambia with the aim of providing best biofuels, logistics, fine blended alcoholic beverages and branded packaging in Zambia and beyond the Zambian borders. The group companies are located in various areas with its head office in villa Elizabeth Lusaka, Zambia. The group of companies wishes to hire suitable and qualified personnel to serve in the group companies in the following fields.
ACCOUNTANT (1) POSITION
The accountant will be reporting to the senior accountant and will be responsible for the accurate submission of financial reports, comply with all accounting standards including the surya group of companies accounting policies and procedures. .

Key Responsibilities
• Bookkeeping and accounting Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other requirements.
• Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Reconcing the books of accounts and maintaining and examining the records of regulatory institutions.

Qualifications
• Full grade twelve certificate with credit or better in English and Mathematics
• Full ACCAI ZICA/ CA Zambian
• Degree in accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years experience
• Member of the Zambia institute of chartered accountants
• Proficiency in financial information systems
