JOB DETAILS:
Primary Responsibilities Reporting to the Chemist or Laboratory Manager, the
Analyst is accountable for performing or supervising a variety of routine and non-routine technical or
Environmental Laboratory tasks by applying standard procedures to complete test work programs. This position operates under general supervision. This could include routine tasks and procedures such as planning and conducting tests and/or calibrations, participation in method modification, development and validation under the supervision of the supervisor or Chemist.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintains production and quality targets.
2. Maintains a clean working environment.
3. Performs a wide variety of routine and non-routine tests using available test methods.
4. Responsible for data handling and all aspects which pertain to the execution of the method to ensure quality of analysis.
5. Performs group routine and non-routine equipment maintenance and complete as scheduled.
6. Sets up and operates equipment in accordance with instructions and limited supervision.

Qualifications:
• Diploma in Lab Science or Chemistry or related discipline/relevant experience
• Two (2) years or more working in a similar or better environment

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
