KCM SmelterCo Limited a subsidiary of Konkola Copper Mines Plc (KCM Plc) is one of the largest copper and cobalt processing companies in Zambia. It operates an underground mine in Nampundwe, a refinery in Kitwe, and a crushing & milling plant, a tailings leach plant and a state of the art smelter in Chingola. To support this vision KCM SmelterCo Limited would like to recruit experienced and qualified individuals for the above position at Nkana Refinery and Nampundwe Mine.

Job Purpose
To perform mechanical maintenance, repairs and installation work on a wide range of plant Machinery

Main Roles & Responsibilities will include:
• Perform mechanical maintenance repairs and installation of plant machinery
• Diagnoses the state of mechanical repairs of plant equipment and determine where necessary the process and materials required to effect repairs.
• Any other mechanical fitting duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Technician/Craft certificate in the relevant discipline
• At least 3 years practical experience
• Innovative and able to work independently
• Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Professional Certificate
