Overview
Cafe Choconilla is Kabwe’s most recommended restaurant when it comes to a quality dining experience. We take pride in our food and service and we are now searching for an additional ASSISTANT CHEF to join our team. You’ll be able to put your skills to good use creating delicious dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will enjoy working with and receiving assistance from a dedicated team of chefs, managers, waiters, waitresses and other supporting staff members.
We are now looking for a new Assistant Chef (full-time) to join our dedicated team with anticipated start date 10th of July 2022.

Key responsibilities:
• Preparation of meals the Choconilla-way
• Keep the kitchen clean at all times as well as the immediate surrounding areas
• Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene and safety standards
• Provide food consistency by strictly following recipes and standards for quality and presentation
• Assist in effective stock keeping
• Accommodating customers’ special request on food preparation
• Good communication skills with colleagues and customers
• Ability to handle, respect and solve complaints from our esteemed customers

Who are we looking for?
• A young person between 20 – 30 years old with a talent and passion for food
• Work experience from a reputable restaurant in cooking international cuisine
• A chef who has received formal training from a reputable training institution
• A physically fit person
• Organised with good time management and coordination with other chefs
• A team player who puts the company’s interest first
• A fast, focussed and self-motivated person who can work under pressure • A creative chef with attention to food presentation
• Good communication skills
