Description:
Reports to Facilities Manager. The incumbent is responsible for the overall planning, management, co-ordination and financial control of all CIDRZ renovation and maintenance projects, and optimal maintenance of all capital equipment. The incumbent ensures that projects are completed on time within the agreed budget and requires taking a leading role right from the initial conception and design of the projects, through works up to completion – as well as maintenance works. Construction design and drafting in AUTOCAD/ARCHCAD or other is critical in the position.

Main duties;
• Provides oversight on all constructional and maintenance works, ensuring that all works are within contract periods and to the required CIDRZ standards
• Prepares constructional and maintenance reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions
• Assigns work to and monitor performance of assigned employees ensuring optimal performance
• Advises on effective use of office space and manages the maintenance of buildings
• Develops, implements and enforces sectional procedures
• Liaises with internal and external stakeholders towards achievement of set goals
• Manages the Facilities Department Help Desk and maintenance system ensuring that maintenance requests are attended to promptly
• Manages service level agreements for all CIDRZ biomedical waste and incinerators
• Prepares drawings and estimates for renovations other construction related projects as may be required.

Qualifications;
• Grade 12 certificate
• Degree in Architecture, Building Science, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or any related field
• 3 years work experience
• Additional qualification in management/administration will be an added advantage.
• Candidates must be paid up members of affiliate professional bodies e.g ZIA,EIZ, SIZ etc.
• Must be proficient in computer use
