Job Title: Assistant Lecturer in Multimedia/Cartooning and Animation
Level: 4.III Reports To: Head of ICT department

Job Description
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons.
• Preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises;
• To operate, maintain and repair equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video camera, projectors, lighting and sound mixing equipment.
• Confer with producers, performers, and others in order to determine and achieve the desired sound for a production such as a musical recording or a film.
• Mix and edit voices, music, and taped sound effects for live performances and for prerecorded events, using video audio equipment.
• Participate in production of income generating activities related to your line of work to increase IPRC – Kigali income.
• Devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources;
• Integrating learning technology into teaching.
• Preparing and administering examinations, and other teaching aids needed to fulfill objectives of program.
• Setting up classroom, lab, equipment, assignments, etc. in preparation for each new phase or class start.
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, progress of students, and reporting the same in a timely manner.
• Attending all scheduled in-service activities, meetings, and completing all scheduled/assigned activities in time specified.
• To operate, maintain and repair equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video camera, projectors, lighting and sound mixing equipment.
Job Profile
Applicants should meet at least one of the following academic and professional qualifications:
• Having at least a Bachelor’s degree in Media Communication, Communication Design, Digital media or related fields with 2years of experience in digital media industries.
• Having at least a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related fields with 2years of experience in multimedia industries and professional certificates in at least two of the following disciplines:
• Multimedia
• Computer animations
• Animation and visual effect
• Cartooning and animation
• Knowledge in 3D modeling and animation using cinema 4D, or demonstrable skills in another 3D animation program such as 3D Maya or Blender
• Demonstrable skills in drawing related to cartooning
• Knowledge in 2D assets creation and animation using Adobe programs: Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effect
• Knowledge in 3D character modeling and animation
• Facial modeling and animation
• CGI lighting , rendering and look development
