JOB DETAILS:
Our client, a leader in the solid waste management industry in Lusaka, requires a versatile, dynamic, self-motivated, highly credible and suitably qualified individual to fill the vacant position of;

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among other responsibilities;
• Conducting general maintenance and service of trucks
• Engine overhauls including overhead adjustments, engine brake installations and adjustments and fitting engine accessories and repairs
• Carry out certification of fitness inspections and repairs
• Attending to vehicle breakdowns
• Clutch installation and removal including gearbox and differential unit
• Attending to pneumatics and hydraulic problems;
• Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

Qualifications and Attributes
• Certificate in Automotive and Heavy-Duty Equipment Repair or any related field
• Trade test and craft certificate in Automotive Electrical will be added advantage
• At least two years' work experience in a similar role.
• Comprehensive mechanical know-how and understanding of heavy-duty trucks
• Experience with Mercedez Benz Trucks will be advantageous.
