JOB DETAILS:
• Heartlands Best Zambia is a local Agro-production company based in Livingstone Simoonga. We are producers of day-old chicks, poultry feeds, frozen chicken, table eggs, dairy products and horticultural products.

Reporting To: Mechanical Fitter
Main Responsibilities:
• Preparing for boiler start up, running and shutting it down
• Measuring and recording boiler performance attributes and raising job cards for equipment problems
• Monitoring and evaluating the trends of the boiler
• Assured quality of inputs and initiating corrective action when operating the boiler
• Conducting autonomous maintenance tasks and executing basic lubrication and inspection tasks
• Applying 5S standards and practices in the work area
• Operating and controlling the process according to SOP’s
• Maintaining safety and healthy work environment
• Perform cleaning of the boiler equipment as per standard procedures
• Communicating effectively in the workplace and contributing to self and team development
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mechanical equipment and mechanical maintenance
• Replacing worn out or damaged boiler system and piping components such as valves
• Fault finding in Electrical, Mechanical and Heating systems
• Sustain up to date knowledge of developments in relevant technology and recommendations for overhaul and upgrades

Qualifications and Experience:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate or better in Boiler Operations, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience as a Boiler Operator in a fast-paced environment

Skills:
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Basic knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical a must
• Physically fit and able to work in shifts
• Ability to work under pressure
