We seek to fill the role of Butchery General Assistant.

Job Specifications/Responsibilities Will Include the Following:
• Pack meat into either retail or bulk packaging for the further sells on to customers and consumers in the store
• Operate the pricing scale and price meat products that have been packed for further sells to customers and consumers alike
• Merchandising of retail meat cuts in butchery cabinets
• Ensure that meat that has been cut or processed is fresh and correctly packed and merchandised in butchery cabinets, sell-buy date policy been followed.
• Checking sell-buy dates, bloody and broken packs on butchery cabinet shelves
• Assist with stock rotation and storage management of meat and meat related items
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene policies
• Assist in the day to day cleaning of production areas, fridges freezers and store rooms
• Maintain good/safe personal hygiene while working/preparing meat and meat related items
• Assist all customers with their requirements
• Serves customers when required to do

Requirements:
• 2-3 years related experience as General Assistant in similar Role/Capacity (Retail).
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Quality & service orientated
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Safety awareness
• Must pay attention to detail and work well under pressure
