Job title: Centre Co-Founders
About Assistive-Thandizo
Assistive-thandizo is an online and mobile marketplace in the Zambia digital circles that connects creative labor with local demand, allowing people to get help with daily activities such as shopping, documenting, running errands cleaning, office and home moving, delivery of products, and handyman jobs. It is a start-up in the information technology field, with the aim of providing real-time services using Artificial intelligence and machine learning. We are looking for Centre Co-Founders who will be located in various districts across the country – They will be running the Digital Inclusion Centres, and managing the daily operations.
A co-founder is an entrepreneur who establishes and directs the activities of a business startup alongside one or more other co-founders. Identifying market possibilities and goods that can fill a certain niche, making business strategies and projections, and participating in early marketing operations to increase brand awareness and excitement for a firm or product are just some of the responsibilities of this dynamic profession.
Co-founders are outstanding big-picture thinkers who are critical to a company’s early success. As they lead product development and bring new products to market, they must also be practical and hands-on.

Duties and Responsibilities of Co-Founders
Identify Potential Markets
A co-founder must find possibilities or areas where consumers may want or require a product that does not yet exist before a product can join the market. A successful co-founder looks at the big picture of their market sector or industry, finds what’s working and what needs aren’t being met, and assesses whether or not that market presents a chance to start and grow a profitable firm.
Manage the Product Development Process
A co-founder is equally crucial in the development and implementation of a service. A co-founder takes a very active role in inventing a solution, selecting specifications, and putting that commodity into production in the early stages of a new firm, whether it’s a physical product or a digital solution (such as a website or application). This part of the job is hands-on and crucial, as successful product development can determine whether or not a new enterprise succeeds in the long run.
Promotion and Direct Marketing
Co-founders are also in charge of conducting early design marketing and promotion. Co-founders must network and develop anticipation for their products long before they go into production to ensure that there will be demand. Building a social media presence, writing press releases, and attending industry events to increase word-of-mouth are all examples of this component of the work.
Make financial projections
The co-founders are in charge of preparing financial projections and establishing milestones and timetables. A co-founder calculates the expenses of bringing a product to market, creates financial plans to determine break-even thresholds and assure long-term viability, and sets budgets as the firm grows. Obtaining additional funds and investors for a new enterprise can also be a part of this position.
Organize and Lead Teams
A co-founder must be able to establish and lead productive teams as the firm grows. This component of the job entails high-level decision-making as well as the ability to spot areas where new hires will benefit the organization. The capacity to inspire and manage teams allows businesses to scale up as their market share grows, as well as hire and retain employees who are committed to the company’s success.

Qualifications and Skills of the Co-Founder
Co-founders must strike a balance between big-picture thinking and the day-to-day chores of running a successful business. Co-founders can have practically any educational background, yet they all have the same set of skills:
1. Co-founders must be strategic thinkers in order to identify product opportunities and make business decisions that will ensure the company’s long-term success and growth
2. Market research– In order to make well-informed business decisions, co-founders must be able to conduct market research and analyze trends and data.
3. Co-founders take an active role in product creation in the early phases of a firm, making both high-level and minute decisions about their products before they go to market.
4. Co-founders must successfully sell and promote their products before they get to market, developing anticipation and demand through social media, advertising, and networking.
5. Personnel management – as a company grows, a co-founder must excel at recruiting, hiring, and retaining talented and dedicated employees who can help bring the co-vision founder’s to life.
6. Financial planning – co-founders must have a strong understanding of financial planning and forecasting, as well as the ability to set milestones and budgets to ensure long-term viability and growth.

Education & Training as a Co-Founder
Co-founders must come from a wide range of educational backgrounds and levels, spanning from business administration to computer science. Some co-founders may forego completing their academic degrees in order to focus on developing their centres and devising marketing tactics. The ability to think critically, spot trends, and come up with unique product ideas are the most vital abilities for co-founders, thus a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or finance can provide a solid basis on which to develop.
Salary and Prospects for Co-Founders
Salaries for co-founders will be very different, especially in the early stages of a business. Co-founder will work for equity while the business is getting off the ground and then receive a salary after the company has been in operation for a year. However, in the startup phase, they will be earning themselves commissions, and bonuses. In short, they will get income in respect to effort they put towards growing the centre.
