JOB DETAILS:
Job title: Claims Officer

Purpose of Job
To supervise the Settlement of Motor and Non-motor claims.

Statement of Main Duties
• To supervise the claim processes and ensure that all claims are settled promptly and efficiently.
• To check with underwriting to ensure claims are payable.
• To liaise with Loss Adjusters or Motor Assessors as the case maybe in order to obtain data and advice for claim settlement.
• To supervise negotiations of claims with Clients, Third Parties and claim disputes to miimize expenses.
• To institute or recommend the institution of investigations with regards to suspected fraudulent claims.
• To ensure quick recovery of Salvages.
• To liaise with Garages with regards to insurance repair works.
• To ensure that Garages are of a standard good enough to meet clients’ expectations.
• To recommend to his/her superior loss prevention mechanism to improve risk management practices and contribute to profitability.
• To ensure that claims are in line with the underwriting terms.
• To prepare a Claims Report monthly to be Operations and Administration Manager.
• Attend to other duties as maybe assigned by the superior.
