Functions and tasks:
• Collect, maintain and manage climate data
• Regular climate change data collection, processing and update;
• Coordinate all activities related to archiving and dissemination of climate change mandatory reports including Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), NATCOMs, BUR and others;
• Update and maintain climate change portal to share all climate change related information at national and international level;
• Coordinate capacity building of national stakeholders on methodology and software related to international climate change reporting mechanisms (NATCOMs, BUR, NDCs,…);
• Coordinate and/or participate in preparation and reporting of national Greenhouse Gases Inventory through international mechanisms including National Communications (NATCOMs), Biennial Update Reports (BUR) and other reports related to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC);
• Collaborate with REMA stakeholders to improve the quality and quantity of climate data;
• Coordinate and/or participate in research related to climate change.
