JOB DETAILS:
Our client Morehouse School of Medicine, is looking for an eligible and qualified individual to fill up the position of Clinical Lead for their Lusaka, Kanyama, Matero, Chilenje and/or Chawama sites.
Position Title Clinic Lead

Reports to HBCU GHC Leadership and Morehouse School of Medicine Lead
The Clinic Lead (CL) will work closely with the Historically Black College or University (HBCU) health facility–based Project Directors in the design and implementation of the HRSA-funded Global Health Consortium project covering all clinics. The CL will also support development of technical and budget related documents, Annual Program Reports (APR), and Semi-Annual Program reports (SAPR). She/he will be responsible for ensuring that the HBCU program team provides high quality technical products and services, delivers required results, and uses project resources efficiently and cost effectively.
The CL will work closely with Ministry of Health (MOH) officials and staff at the clinic(s). The CL will also liaise with US-based representative at Morehouse School of Medicine. Under the direction of the HBCU GHC leadership, the CL will also perform a variety of other project related managerial duties. .

Job Responsibilities:
• Work directly and under the supervision of the HBCU GHC leadership for efficient and effective completion of defined tasks.
• Support on-the-ground implementation of practice transformation programs at targeted clinics in Zambia. Track Work Plans and program budgets.
• Coordinate and provide logistic support for HBCU GHC program related events such as trainings, workshops, assessment visits, and annual work planning.
• Provide ongoing programmatic support for the staff hired for implementation activities at clinic(s) utilizing regular distance and face-to-face supervision from the US–based representatives of Morehouse School of Medicine.
• Work closely with the HBCU GHC leadership to manage the project budgets and ensure the effective use of project funds.
• Ensure annual work plans align with strategic objectives and project commitments.
• Provide logistic or technical support and keep abreast of key issues associated with overall project efficiency and effectiveness at clinic(s).
• Assist in the writing of narrative reports and ensure that reports are submitted to the Project Director in a timely manner.
• Monitor program expenditures to ensure adequate funding throughout the year.
• Coordinate the annual work planning with local partner clinics.
• Represent HBCU program as requested by the HBCU GHC leadership at various stakeholder meetings.
• Liaise with HBCU headquarters staff on project related issues.
• At the direction of the HBCU GHC leadership, liaise with other local United States Government (USG) partners working in similar health program areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Skills:


  Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical discipline, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related degree with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, or a baccalaureate degree in clinical sciences such as medical or biological sciences with specialty in infectious disease.
• Experience in supervising staff in clinical settings
• Knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS, program design, management and monitoring tools are essential
• Significant experience in ART programming and service delivery
• Experience in working effectively and directly with MOH clinics/hospitals, and, PEPFAR funding and programs
• Experience managing budgets and collaborating with multiple projects
• Knowledge of financial and human resources management, contracts, and general administration of program activities


Job Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical discipline, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related degree with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, or a baccalaureate degree in clinical sciences such as medical or biological sciences with specialty in infectious disease.


Job Experience Requirements:
• Experience in working effectively and directly with MOH clinics/hospitals, and, PEPFAR funding and programs
