Ndola City Council invites bidders who have experience in the collection of solid waste from residential, industrial commercial and institutional establishments, to participate in the tender for collection of waste

The contract shall be on franchise basis for three(3) years and the areas include the following waste management districts:

1. Industrial Area and Mine Masala
2. Itawa
3. Kansenshi covering North of LuanshyaRoad south of Petauke and Mukuni Road and West of Kwacha
4. Kansenshi covering North of North of Petauke and Mukuni Road and West of Kwacha, Kansenshi infill, Chifubu, Mitengo
5. Northrise north of Kabelenga Road and South of Tanzania, Lupili Road
6. Northrise north of Tanzania, Misundu, Ndola Villa and Pamodzi
7. Kanini and Hilerest

It is important to note that under the waste management system operated in the City of Ndola. Only contractors awarded franchise contracts are allowed to provide solid waste collection services in the City International waste management companies are welcome to tender as long as they have a company incorporated in Zambia or they enter into a Joint venture/consortium with a Zambian waste management company

Bidders can bid for any preferred waste Management District but must buy separate bidding documents depending on the waste management districts they are bidding for. The council will allocate the waste management districts with great consideration to capacity of the companies in terms of equipment, labour resources and experience in solid collection etc.

Eligible bidders may inspect and obtain the tender documents upon a payment of a non-refundable fee of ZMK 1000.00 or its equivalent in any convertible currency at the prevailing exchange rate in cash or bank certified cheque for each waste management district they prefer. Submission Procedure

Submission SHALL be online through the ZPPA e Procurement portal under Ndola City Council current tenders. All bids must be submitted electronically and accompanied by a bid security of K5,000-00 as an attachment under did submission, not LATER THAN 10:30 hours on or before 31 May 2021. Bids will be opened soon after closing online
