About The Role:
As the Commercial and Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement management and governance for the company’s commercial operations. This role will be a central point of contact for all commercial procurement activities on site and will be expected to secure quality goods and services at the optimized cost, whilst adhering to KoBold’s ethics
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversee and supervise all purchasing activities
• Ensure the Procurement policy & procedures are adhered to by all stakeholders
• Coordinate a robust procurement function and drive local procurement opportunities by liaising with various departments on procurement plans
• Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.
• Evaluating sourcing procedures and presenting improvement strategies to senior management for approval
• Annual review of procurement expenditure and development of annual procurement forecasts
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers & business partners
• Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.
• Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality
• Estimating risks and applying risk-minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations
• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies
• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
• Conduct Contract performance reviews
• Ensure timely payment of suppliers by Finance
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CIPs, business, economics, finance, logistics, or in a related field
• A Master's degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management or strategic sourcing will be advantageous
• At least 7 years’ work experience in a commercial / procurement field
• Proficiency in sourcing software, such as Fraxion Spend Management, SAP Ariba, and Promena e-Sourcing.
• Member of recognized purchasing & supply bodies
Skills
• Exhibit Strong independent leadership skills and is a self-starter
• Excellent understanding of contracts and excellent working knowledge of international procurement processes
• Experience setting up procurement functions
• Must have an understanding of warehousing, accounting, and audit procedures
• Vendor management and tender process running skills
• Strong communication and advanced negotiation skills
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Attention to detail
• Highest standards of Ethics
