JOB DETAILS:
Community Relations Manager .

Responsibilities
• Set high expectations for excellent community service and hold the management team accountable to the measurable results associated.
• Ensure the overall LEGACY plan of Zambia reflects high standards, benchmarks and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.
• Responsible to communicate the company objectives consistently and effectively to all Stakeholders in all countries in Zambia, including management teams through organized and scheduled meetings, calls, email communication etc.
• Ensuring that collective agreement requirements, where applicable, (between ATS and the communities, and the client) are complied with at all times.
• Ensure continuous training and appraisals are carried out on all CROs in line with the overall objectives of ATS Group.
• The Manager shall conduct site visits to assess LEGACY operations and recommend changes. Also, the manager shall do periodic performance evaluations to ensure that the working team is on the right path to achieving the overall goals.
• Provides leadership, and supervision; delegates day to day operations to LEGACY Country Managers or CROs for execution.
• Responsible for attaining established Country LEGACY goals through active participation in LEGACY management and officer call programs.
• Participates in community affairs to increase the ATS visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities.
• Supervise CROs to organize or mobilize potential individuals or groups within catchment communities to go into the production of agric-business projects such as
i. Vegetables (tomatoes, cabbage, pepper, garden eggs, etc)
ii. Fruits (Oranges, banana, pawpaw, pineapple, watermelon etc)
iii. Protein Products (Fish e.g Tilapia, pigs, poultry, beef etc)
• Ensures CROs source for professional local businesses or agents that could supply ATS with fruits, vegetables, dry goods, and consumables on request.
• Ensure CROs organize series of training program for community members to equip them with modern methods of running small scale businesses or help individuals build upon their technical and professional skills.
• Provide feedback to Group Community Relations Manager on ATS performance, achievements, and plans regarding community engagement activities for projects within a given periods of time- Reports (Monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, Monthly Activity Plan, and Community Performance Assessment Metric (CPAM)
• Environmental campaigns – the Community Relations Manager must ensure all ATS activities are in consistent with client/ATS & community environmental plans.
• Ensure the communities understand the intention of the company and be proactive in seeing possible areas of conflict with the community and advising the management on possible ways to handle the potential problems.
