JOB DETAILS:
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
A reputable insurance company with experience in design and project is seeking to employ a Construction Manager to be permanently based in Lusaka for a period of 4 Months to 6 Months. .

Job Description:
• Responsible for the day to day management of the construction delivery team.
• Plan, organize and manage both nominated and domestic sub-contractors.
• Liaise with construction team project management.
• Together with the Main contractor develop and maintain the overall construction program.
• Develop deliverable schedules/work plans for construction teams.
• Attend to all Requests for Information (RFI’s)
• Anticipate potential schedule or priority delays and initiate plans for alternative action.
• Communicate with Consultants and Stakeholders
• Provide feedback and reports to Engineer and Client

Job Experience & Skills Required:
• Must have at-least 8 years experience in Project and or Contract administration preferable in high-rise building.
• Proven ability in the operation, planning and performance of collaborative programs and projects.
• Must have knowledge of the FlDlC form Of Contract [red book).
• In-depth understanding of construction, procedures and develop development of construction program.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.

Education:
• Must be a holder of a Bachelors of Architecture/Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering/Construction Project Management.
• Master of Project management preferably.
• Must be registered with either The Engineering Institute of Zambia, Zambia Institute of Architects or Surveyors Institute of Zambia.
