Job Description: Consultancy Business Manager

• Role Description: We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Consultancy Business Manager. This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and will primarily involve managing a portfolio of consultancy projects in Agriculture, Policy Analysis, and Monitoring and Evaluation. In addition to project management responsibilities, the role will also support the rollout of two new services: Focus Africa Research and Academic Publishing and Focus Africa Finance. The Consultancy Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of Technical Experts and Interns to ensure the successful execution of projects and the growth of our consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of consultancy projects in Agriculture, Policy Analysis, and Monitoring and Evaluation.
• Support the launch and growth of new services, including Focus Africa Research and Academic Publishing and Focus Africa Finance.
• Lead and mentor a team of Technical Experts and Interns.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored consultancy solutions.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
• Foster strong client relationships and seek opportunities for business expansion.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Agriculture, Policy Analysis, and Monitoring and Evaluation.
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Consultancy Services in Agriculture and Rural Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
• Qualifications:
• Master’s degree (MSc) in Economics, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a Business-related field.
