Job title: Consultancy – FtMA/CFU Upstream Value Chain Analysis

The Conservation Farming Unit (CFU), a company limited by guarantee has received a funding from the WFP under the Farmer to Market Alliance Project and intends to apply some of the proceeds to procure the following consultancy Services:
FtMA/CFU Upstream Value chain Analysis
About the role
The consultant/team will carry out an Upstream Value chain Analysis for Maize and Soya Beans in FtMA/CFU Districts of operation.
About you
Extensive knowledge of and experience in leading (designing and undertaking) Value chain Analysis studies.

Required Team skills and expertise:
The Core team should demonstrate (in combination) the following:
• Lead consultant with at least an MSc in agribusiness/ marketing/agricultural economics or related discipline.
• Expert in agribusiness/market access issues with strong track record working in the smallholder farming context.
• At least 5 years’ experience working in agribusiness-related and/or marketing functions for a private company or as independent consultant.
• Excellent written and communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English and languages spoken in Central Province of Zambia.
• Be conversant with current agri-business models and practice around market linkages in Zambia
