Consultancy: Equality Toolkit
The Fight Inequality Alliance –FIA Zambia is a growing group of leading international and national non-profit organisations, human rights campaigners, women’s rights groups, environmental groups, faith-based organisations, trade unions, social movements and other Civil Society Organisations –CSOs.
JOB OVERVIEW:
FIA Zambia is interested in hiring the services of a Consultant to develop, draft and design an equality toolkit.
The task will be done over a 31 day period across a calendar month.
REPORTING:
The Consultant will work closely with and report directly to the FIA – Zambia National Coordinator. The Consultant will be expected to respond in a timely manner, to all queries directed at them for purposes of effective communication and documentation within the provisions of the Agreement. Conversely, the National Coordinator will respond in like manner to all queries directed at them in pursuit of the objectives under the Agreement. .

RESPONSIBILITES:
• Produce a detailed Equality toolkit outlining critical information on how to navigate a shrinking civic space
• Make practical prescriptions and safety measures for frontline activists and their allies
• Meet all the obligations as will be stipulated in the engagement Agreement that will be made available to the successful candidate
Some of the issues already raised include but not limited to;
1. How to stay safe as an activist in the context of shrinking civic space
2. Protecting your online identity
3. Legal issues to think about and how to address them
4. Key resources for frontline activists and where they can find them
5. Practical tips to build solidarity on an issue
6. And any other topic as seen fit

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in research and activism with broad understanding of the Zambian landscape The consultant must be fluent in English with strong writing and communication skills Experience with work around inequality will be an added advantage
