JOB DETAILS:
1. INTRODUCTION
Nkwazi Cooperative invites proposals from suitably qualified and experienced HR Professionals to provide services that will result in the establishment of HR documents that will govern the conduct and practice of Human Resources at the Cooperative. By submitting their expression of interest, each bidder agrees to provide deliverables as indicated.
2. GOALS OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The first goal of the assignment is to prepare HR specific documents for Nkwazi Cooperative. Currently, the practice of HR is dependent on the Operations Manual, which contains information on HR. In preparing the HR specific documents, the successful bidder will be required to separate information of an HR nature from the Operations Manual and including that in the new documents. This will be done in line with the new Employment Code Act as well as all relevant legislation that affects the employment of persons in Zambia.
The second goal for this assignment is to conduct a job analysis and review position descriptions for the Cooperative to establish the optimal staffing levels for a Cooperative like Nkwazi.
3. DELIVERABLES
• Staff Handbook to help guide the practice of Human Resource for Nkwazi Cooperative.
• Separating HR information from the Operations Manual and including that information in the Staff Handbook ensuring there is no duplication.
• Reviewed position descriptions and recommendation on staffing for optimal performance of the Cooperative’s Human Resource.
4. TIMELINE/PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The timeline for this assignment is one-month effective November 25, 2019. All deliverables must be made available to Nkwazi management by December 24, 2019. The Cooperative proposes two weeks of a desk review of all relevant documents and two weeks to compile and consolidate the required deliverables in this Request for Expressions of Interest. The selected consultants may order their work as they see suitable. .

Job Qualifications:
• They hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• They have practiced Human Resource Management for 3 or more years.
• They are capable of performing job analysis, job design and organisational design.
• They are familiar with the concept of a Staff Handbook.
• They are capable of understanding and interpreting local labour law and are up to date with current legislation.

• They hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
