About the role
• We are delighted to announce that we are searching for a knowledgeable and experienced SHES Coordinator to join our dedicated and professional SHES team.
• As a SHES Coordinator you will actively drive, and provide expertise to, the execution of continuous improvements in occupation health, safety, environmental& sustainable and security matters. You will be our local SHES coordinator based at our Manufacturing plant in Chambishi, Zambia and contribute to a broader team across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
• This incredible opportunity will see you support our business in implementing and embedding SHES processes and programs in our daily operations. We expect you to monitor legal and regulatory requirements, trends and events and develop responses as required. What you will be doing
• Providing advice in response to SHES queries on policy and process relevant to the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area within agreed timeframes;
• Participating in continuous improvement processes and problem-solving activities within the Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area;
• Ensuring accuracy of information and delivery in agreed timeframes;
• Participating in Manufacturing Centre or Sub-Regional Area and company projects as required;
• Contributing to the development and implementation of SHES management systems; Participating and supporting SHES assurance activities;
• Supporting Orica leaders to execute their SHES responsibilities and accountabilities; Assisting in event investigation and supporting the development of a SHES risk profile;
• Implementing initiatives to mitigate and prevent SHES risk.

What you will bring
• Engineering or science degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) in fields related to SHES;
• Relevant practical experience of working with SHES, preferably in a manufacturing or heavy industry;
• Experience of safety and health regulations, risk management and security systems;
• Good documentation and communication skills in English.
